This Christmas season just isn't the same as the cold winter seasons I remember from growing up. There were always piles of snow, knee deep, by the middle of December, and kids would run around screaming all day as they played outside. Unfortunately, kids this year are missing out on the winter fun. They will be lucky to get snow by Christmas to play in. Something just isn't right!
The other main change I noticed about recent Christmas seasons was the lack of Christmas Carolers. With all of the aspiring singers on shows like American Idol and Americas Got Talent, I would expect that groups or people might want to go around and sing, for fun. This is not the case at all, and I have not seen a single group of carolers.
Maybe people are just scared to walk around and sing, or maybe people are becoming Scrooges and forgetting the true Spirit of Christmas. Whatever the case is, I miss carolers and I miss the guarantees of a snowy Christmas.
